2. Submission of Claim Documents

CLAIM PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. Notification of the claim by the Insured to the Insurer within 30 (thirty) calendar days after the completion of the trip
  2. Claim documents must be provided to Great Eastern within 30 (thirty) calendar days of any incident that may give rise to a claim. Document details are on the next page
  3. The Insurer will conduct a claim analysis process within a maximum of 30 (thirty) calendar days
  4. The Insurer is required to complete the claim payment within 30 (thirty) calendar days of the written agreement between the Insurer and the Insured regarding the amount of the claim to be paid.

  2. Written confirmation from the Travel agent that the Insured is unavailable and the amount that can be refunded

  7. Photocopy of court summons (if serving as a witness or jury member in court)
  8. Proof of serious damage to the insured’s residence from fire, flood, or other natural events
10 Baggage Delay
  1. Statement letter from the airline regarding the duration and reason for the delay
  2. Baggage receipt (containing the time & date the baggage was received)
11 Travel Delay
  1. Written statement from the Airline regarding planned arrival, actual arrival and cause of delay, Actual departure onward journey
  2. Boarding Passes of the affected Airline (failed journey continuation)
  3. Ticket itinerary from the latest schedule
12 Hijack
  1. Written confirmation from the Airline confirming the original departure time and actual departure time due to hijacking
  2. Written confirmation from the authorities regarding piracy
13 Overbook Flights
  1. Written confirmation from the Airline explaining the cause of the overbooking and the alternative solution
  2. Original receipt of costs that have been incurred
14 Personal Liability and legal expense
  1. Police report
  2. Incident reports issued by the competent authority
  3. Letter of Claim, loss report and proof of payment for third party losses
  4. Letter of claim to third party & Proof of payment of Legal Fee
15 Rental Vehicle

20 Missed Event
  1. Official proof of ticket purchase in the name of the person insured in the policy
  2. Letter from the public transport provider confirming that the service is not running on time (if applicable)
  3. Confirmation of delay from the relevant authorities of the vehicle being used
  4. Confirmation of event cancellation from the promoter if the event is cancelled due to extreme weather or natural disaster at the event location
21 Winter Sport  
  a. Winter Sport Pack
  1. Medical report confirming the reason and duration of Your inability to engage in the winter activity
  2. Proof of payment for the winter sports package (e.g. ski school fees, ski instructor fees, rental and/or hire equipment, and the cost of any reserved lift tickets)
  b. OnPiste Closure
  1. Written statement from the resort manager confirming the reason for the trail closure and the duration of the closure.
22 Golf  
  a. Loss and/or Damage to Golf Equipment
  1. Police or relevant authority report (reported within 24 hours of the incident)
  2. If equipment is lost/damaged while in the custody of the airline/service provider: proof of compensation received from the airline or service provider or if such compensation is refused, proof of such refusal
  b. Hole in One
  1. A properly authenticated Hole-in-One Certificate issued by a golf club professional
  2. A receipt for celebratory drinks on the date of the hole-in-one at the golf club
